Day 1
We begin by driving westwards to Mengwi to visit the Royal Family Temple of Taman Ayun. From there we will proceed to Tanah Lot to see the Sea Temple and then to Pupuan. On the way we will pass beautiful terraced rice fields and coffee and clove plantations. Next stop will be Lovina Beach in Northern Bali where you will stay for the first night. In the afternoon we will visit Singaraja; once the capital of Bali. We will visit the Buleleng Royal Palace, and some temples such as Pura Beji, Pura Medue Karang and Jaga Raga.
Day 2
As you might be able to tell by the large dolphin statue on Lovina Beach, Lovina is known for it's dolphin watching. Going dolphin watching is a must for you Northern Bali adventure. Rise up early and be on the water before sunrise. While watching the dolphins play, you will also enjoy a beautiful sunrise. While, dolphin sightings can't be guaranteed, there is about a 90% chance that you will see them.
After breakfast, we will go to Gitgit Waterfall, Ulun Danu Temple at Lake Bratan, and a fruit and flower market at Candikuning. Next we will travel to Ubud. Ubud is a town of artists. If you are interested in bringing any Balinese art home, this is the place to shop. Many artists have galleries in their own homes. We will be able to watch artists at work producing art that often portrays everyday life in Bali. We will spend our second night in Ubud.
Day 3
After breakfast, we will depart to Kintamani, a mountain district which is famous for its magnificent view of Lake Batur and the active Batur volcano. From there we will travel to Bekasi; Bali's largest temple complex located on the lower slope of Mount Agung. From Bekasi we go to the southern shore of Bali to view the beautiful ocean and visit the unique village of Tenganan. It has been protected from the outside for centuries. It is surrounded by walls and still maintains it's ancient pre-Hindu customs. Late afternoon you will be taken to your hotel in Chandidasa.
Day 4
We will start out by visiting the Bat Cave Temple. It is one of Bali's sacred temples and is inhabited by thousands of bats. After that we will visit the old courthouse of Kertagosa with it's fascinating ceiling paintings.
